Data CenterFacility built for Security and Redundancy

Ensuring our servers are up and running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24x7) is always our top priority. The first step to security is the physical environment provided to protect your data from natural disasters, power-outages, fire, and hands-on tampering of your equipment. The main Internet Data Center (IDC) used is a 22,000 sq. ft facility situated below ground in the prestigious Garland Building located in Los Angeles. This facility has raised floors, state-of-the-art fire suppression, unlimited connectivity, redundant power, and a self-contained cooling system.

Fire Suppression

The fire suppression system is a multi-zoned, dry pipe, pre-action fire suppression system. It is activated via under-floor and overhead smoke detectors. When two or more zones have been activated, the pipes fill with water. Two or more of the sprinkler head caps must then be melted prior to water discursion. Once caps have been melted, water will only be sprayed in the impacted areas. The system is monitored 24x7 by onsite personnel.

Security

Access to the IDC is controlled around-the-clock by security personnel. Entry to the underground floors where the IDC is located can only occur through secure gates for which security personnel require a pass and visitors have to be signed in and escorted by authorized personnel.

Power Back-up

Our clients are assured that their mission-critical operations will not be affected by power outage in the area, the Garland Building has a diesel reserve capable of seamlessly supporting the IDC for 28 days. The Power to the building is drawn from two substations and is on a preferred service grid that only provides service to one other building. The facility is also served by a second power grid for redundancy.
